I was warned pretty much by a nurse back in 98 about taking vitamins. I don’t know if she was just smart and figured it out, or if she had read something or was just ahead of her time. But, do beware about taking vitamins during chemo. Now, in 2009, the literature on it is amazing.
Once people thought they were helping themselves by taking them now, know the difference can be dangerous. The true work of the chemo agent is to kill or destoy that part of the cell which is trying to kill you. The chemo agent or drugs need to do their job and vitamins enter the cell it is also, giving energy or life to the cancer part. The vitamin cannot distinguish between those parts of the cell. Cellular structure is so intricate.
In essence, vitamins gives comfort & aid to the enemy, lessening the power & strength of the drugs.
